Once again comes that time of the year, where HOMEBAKE HQ frantically places the finishing touches to our annual announcement reminding one & all that summer is looming, and that it will also be the official start to the great Australian Summer festival period. And thus, with all the fuss, excitement, and usual glamour, Australia's most famous antipodean all star event can possibly muster, we are beyond elation and incredibly relieved to finally announce our very special 16th anniversary version being -

HOMEBAKE Music, Film & Arts Festival 2011 - The Classic Edition!

Yes folks, Sydney city's historic Domain will once again come alive with the sound of music, film, laughs and more with the much anticipated return of Homebake after having had a short break in 2010. Over the years, HOMEBAKE has played host to a virtual swag of national and internationally famous local superstars, and has now matured to become one of Australia’s most important and respected festival events, and for this very reason, we are thrilled (& forever grateful) to return bigger and brighter than ever with our most musically eclectic, stunning and incredibly talented selection of the finest artists borne out of the Southern Hemisphere.

Despite the 'classic' moniker - & similar to other major festival events worldwide nowadays - Homebake always pays dignified host and respect to those purveyors of music genres of the past, and this year sees us welcome some of the most honoured musicians in Australian music history alongside the biggest contemporary names (including comedy and film).

So...for the young, the old, and the fun at heart, it is with great pleasure and excitement that we ask you all to put on your dancing shoes and join us on Saturday December 3rd in the Domain in Central for Homebake 2011 presents a very special day of entertainment.

Each and every year HOMEBAKE embraces a number of charities and causes and despite the 16th anniversary celebrations, 2011 welcomes the wonderful organisations known as Young Care & You Can! Further information can be at the dedicated pages on this site.

And the activities keep coming! Alongside the music is our hugely popular HOMEBAKE Cinema Pavilion (featuring award winning and nominated short films by up coming Australian/NZ producers & directors expertly programmed by producer/actor extraordinaire, Kieran Darcy Smith of ‘Two Hands’, ‘The Cave’ 'September', 'The Square' & 'Animal Kingdom' fame.

This year will also see a few special musical performance in amongst the films to be announced. And brand new in 2011 comes the Homebake Comedy Stage, presented by the ever popular Sydney Comedy Festival, which will feature some of Australia’s most beloved comedians as well as the very best emerging artists in a rollicking showcase of world-class comedy. Once again, it's a huge and massive start to this very special year and inspired line-up – our first big names announced with more to come - and totalling over fifty combined artists, performers and comedy acts. HOMEBAKE Music Film & Arts Festival 2011 – ‘The Classic Edition' is destined to be one of the most memorable and finest music festivals kicking off the summer period and will also offer a variety of extra attractions & activities including multi media, our famous international food fare, a plethora of market and information stalls, roving performers, surprises & much, much more.

It will be a massive day packed with the biggest musical talent Australia (& NZ) has to offer plus much more and it's still the best value for money festival in town.
